Where to stay near Malpensa Terminal 1

Terminal 1 is Malpensa's main terminal: long-haul flights, national airlines and many low-cost carriers. If you're flying in or out of T1, here's how to plan your night with no surprises.

How far Casorate Sempione is from Terminal 1

About 10 minutes by car, at any hour: the road is the SS336, which links the Gallarate area to the terminals, with no city traffic. With the private shuttle you're dropped right at departures.

What time to leave

  • Schengen flights with hand luggage only: being at the airport 1 hour 30 minutes before is enough.
  • Non-Schengen flights or with checked luggage: 2 hours 30 minutes before, more at peak times.
  • Book the shuttle the evening before with a WhatsApp message: time, number of people, mobile number and flight number.

What you'll find at T1

Check-in and security on two levels, a large shopping area and food outlets open from the early hours. The Malpensa Express stops right below the terminal. Taxis are at door 6 in arrivals.

A tip from the people next door

If your flight is before 7:00, sleeping 10 minutes away and leaving with the shuttle at 4:45 is far more restful than driving out from Milan in the night. Dinner at home, a calm wake-up, coffee ready.
